KIIT Bhubaneswar came into existence in 1992 as a professional training centre. Later, in 1997, it was established as an institution after commencing engineering degree courses. At present, KIIT has developed as one of the leading universities in India. KIIT is well known for world-class education and placement assistance. About KIIT Entrance Exam (KIITEE)
The KIIT Entrance Exam (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Exam) is held annually to prepare a merit list for admission to most UG and PG Courses. The applicants who score equivalent to the KIITEE Cut off will be called for counseling rounds held by the University. The seats are allocated accordingly.
- According to the KIITEE Exam Pattern, there will be 150 MCQ questions with three marks. The duration of the KIIT Exam is 2.5 hours. One mark will be removed for each wrong answer.

KIIT Ph.D. Admission
The applicants who have secured a good rank in UGC-NET and possess a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from a well-known University can apply for post-doctoral programs at KIIT University. The Kalinga University Ph.D. The admission process will include an entrance exam like KIITEE followed by Personal Interviews conducted by the admission committee.
The University offers two types of programs:
Full-Time Program- The full-time applicants on the university campus will be eligible for a 5 year long Ph.D. program along with the university-sponsored stipends.
Working Professional Ph.D.- Candidates who wish to pursue Ph.D. with their jobs can avail themselves of this opportunity to earn a Ph.D. while working. However, these applicants will be required to self-sponsor their degrees as no stipends will be provided.
KIIT Application Process is as follows
- The students shall fill out the Kalinga University application on the official KIIT website.
- The applicants shall provide the right academic and personal details and a copy of the required documents. For example, it might include class 10+2 mark sheets, degree certificates, Aadhar cards, photographs, character certificates, domiciles, etc.
- Then, they shall sign up for the KIITEE Entrance Exam for their respective courses. Moreover, if they have valid scores from CAT, GMAT, and UGC NET exams, they can also submit them.
- The KIIT application fee must be paid only during Counselling through DD.
