NEET UG Counselling 2024: Dates, Registration Process, Fees, Seats & Allotment

As we all Know that for MBBS Admission qualifying NEET 2024 cut-off is compulsory, after qualifying NEET its compulsory to appear for NEET Counseling either for all india or state to take admission in MBBS Course.NEET UG Counseling is conducted in online mode only. NEET UG Counseling procedure is conducted for all students at different levels for all AIQ and state quota seats. Admission to MBBS BDS and B.SC Nursing courses is based on NEET Counseling only. There are two types of  NEET counseling: All India and State counseling, Here we will discuss both counseling processes.

On the basis of NEET 2024 results, admissions to MBBS/BDS courses under AIQ, deemed universities, and ESIC/AFMC colleges in the country are provided by the MCC All India Counseling  process. The NEET exam qualifying is a compulsory requirement for MBBS Admission India. There are only 15% seats in AIQ quota Counseling and remaining 85% seats are in state counsellings .

NEET UG Counselling 2024: Types

There are two types of NEET Counselling for MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing Admissions

  • AIQ level NEET UG Counselling is for 15 % of Govt. Seats, plus 100 % of Deemed and Central University seats, ESIC, AFMC, AIIMs and JIPMER seats.
  • State Quota NEET UG Counselling is for 85 Percent of Govt. seats and 100 % of private seats of the states.

All India NEET UG Counselling 2024: for 15% All India Quota

The counselling for 15% AIQ is conducted by DGHS ( Directorate of General Health Services.15% of government medical and dental college seats will be offered in All India Quota (AIQ) Seats , Along with that, all seats in universities, central universities, AIIMs, JIPMER, ESIC, as well as, AFMC will be offered to students at the national level for NEET counselling 2024.Candidates taking part in All India counselling can take part in State Counselling also

  • The Stray Vacancy round shall be conducted by the respective Deemed Universities
AIIMS and JIPMER
  • There will be four rounds of counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2 of AIQ and Mop-Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round for 18 AIIMS.
  • Out of the four rounds, three rounds will be conducted online by MCC i.e. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round.
  • The Stray Vacancy round shall be conducted by AIIMS
ESIC
  • ESIC 15% seats would be allotted through All India Quota (Round one & two).
  • The remaining 85% seats shall be treated as state quota seats and will be open to all the candidates participating in the Mop-up Round.
Central university/institute
  • There will be four rounds of NEET 2024 counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2 of AIQ and Mop-Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round.
  • Out of the four rounds, three rounds will be conducted online by MCC i.e. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round.
  • Stray Vacancy round shall be conducted by the respective Central University/Institute.

All the candidates who will qualify the NEET UG 2024 exam will be eligible for applying to the NEET UG counselling 2024.

Central university eligibility criteria for the NEET Counselling 2024
University Name Eligibility criteria
Delhi University (LHMC, UCMS, MAMC) 15% seats for All India Quota & 85% institutional quota seats for candidates who have passed their 10+2 in Delhi.
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) 50% Institutional reservation for the AMU school candidates studying there for the last 3 years. Rest of the 50% of seats to All India candidates.
Delhi University (LHMC, UCMS, MAMC) 15% seats for All India Quota & 85% institutional quota seats for candidates who have passed their 10+2 in Delhi.
BHU Open to All India candidates
Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi 3 BDS seats under the internal quota of JMI and 47 seats are open to All India quota candidates. Students who have passed their 10+ 2 from Jamia Schools can apply for an internal quota.
VMMC & SJH 15% seats for All India and rest as Institute Quota for students who have passed their 10+2 from Delhi.

How to apply for NEET AIQ Counselling 2024?

MCC conducts NEET UG 2024 counselling for AIQ in four rounds, including a mop-up round and a stray vacancy round. Following the completion of Round 2, the remaining seats will be filled in a mop-up round and a stray vacancy round by the MCC. Steps to be taken include:

Step 1: Complete the MCC NEET registration process, including payment (Application and Security Money).

Step 2: NEET 2024 counselling choice filling and locking.

Step 3: Round 1 seat allotment and result announcement

Step 4: Reporting to the allotted Medical/Dental College (option for free entry/exit)

Step 5: Round 2 net vacant seats are published.

Step 6: NEET counselling round 2 registration (not necessary for already registered candidates) and fresh choice filling for NEET counselling round 2

Step 7: Round 2 of seat allocation (exit with forfeiture of security amount option available)

Step 8: Reporting to medical/dental colleges/institutions in preparation for round 2 (candidates once joined the allotted seat are not allowed to vacate the seat).

Step 1: NEET Counselling Registration

Qualified and eligible candidates need to register at mcc.nic.in NEET UG 2024. Applicants must fill out some details like their NEET roll number, registration number, name, mother’s name, and date of birth. Step 2: Choices filling for NEET UG Counselling 2024

Applicants must make a  list of  their dream medical college choices. NEET Aspirants  can use the NEET college predictor if they want to know their chance of getting into medical college based on their NEET Rank. Steps to Fill & check NEET UG counselling choice filling 2024.
To fill choices in NEET Counselling, follow these steps:

  • Log in to the counselling website using the registration credentials.
  • Go to the choice filling section.
  • Browse through the list of available colleges and courses.
  • Select and prioritise your preferred choices.
  • Save and lock the choices before the scheduled date and time.
  • Take a printout of the filled choices for future reference.

Step 3:NEET UG Seat Allotment

Candidates must log in and download their seat allotment letters as soon as they are released by MCC. A free exit is available in the first round, while a forfeiture exit is available in the second round.

Step 4: Reporting to the allotted college

After allotment of seats, a candidate must report to the designated college to complete the admissions processes. Reporting or joining during the first round is not mandatory(it depends on candidates desire). Candidates wishing to take a seat or upgrade must join and report to the allotted medical college. If in second round Candidate not reports in allotted medical college his or her security money will be forfeited. While reporting to the assigned college, candidates must present the original documents.

Note: Candidates joining the allotted seat in the second round will not be eligible to resign/surrender their seats and will not be permitted to participate in state counselling either.

MBBS Admission Rajasthan: NEET CUT-OFF

There are two different sorts of the NEET Cut Off: NEET Qualifying and NEET Admission Cut Off. The bare minimum score needed to Qualify the NEET Exam is known as the NEET Cut-off.
